Frank Kozik, a poster artist of a different order, has managed to take hold of American popular culture and turn it around into a new dialectic—a conversation between good and evil. His rock posters are packed with this contradiction between images—sometimes bright, engaging, and aesthetically pleasing, and othertimes dark, standoffish, and piercing to the eye.

Jermaine Rogers first achieved wide notoriety in the field of modern ‘rock art,’ also known as ‘gigposter’ art. He began his career in Houston as a member of the 1990s Texas poster-art and street-art scene, and his work is viewed as influential in the modern resurgence of the form. Rogers’ work is cataloged in the permanent collections of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Experience Music Project, and his prints, paintings and designer-vinyl figures are collected worldwide.

Emek is a legendary American designer, illustrator, and fine-art painter. In his posters, psychedelic ’60s imagery collides with ’90s post-industrial iconography — the organic vs. the mechanical — to which he adds humor, social commentary and fantasy. His style thrives on attention to detail and layers of meaning; even in the smallest details there are messages. He has made a significant impact on concert-poster art over more than three decades.

Marq is a native of Waunakee, Wisconsin and a graduate of UW-Stout with a degree in art. Drawing heavily on the natural and supernatural world, his posters feature recurring motifs like birds and mythical creatures. His signature screenprinting technique brings out the vivid colors and intricate details of his artwork, and his designs have become highly sought-after collectibles both at shows and in the online market.

Miles Tsang is a Canadian artist of Chinese descent specializing in gigposters, with over a decade in the music industry. He describes his style as fusing ‘mythology, personal emotions, and pop-culture imagery’ with influences from animation, comics, contemporary illustration, Art Nouveau, East Asia, and the American psychedelic art movement. He works out of a small studio amongst a growing jungle of houseplants in downtown Toronto.
