Frank Kozik: Acid Kid
History of “Acid Kid”
Frank's iconic 'Acid Kid' image was originally created for a 1991 show by Texas legends The Butthole Surfers. More importantly, this piece was Frank's first silkscreen gigposter. This fact alone makes the image a pivotal one in the history of modern rock-and-roll poster art.

Frank explained: 'After years of painful hassles with printers, the decision (was) made to do our own printing via silkscreening. Editions were very small.' Kozik often commented on Butthole Surfers shows from this time period: 'They were at their creative peak. Some of the best shows I've ever been to. The laws of the universe changed for 45-60 minutes.'
