FRANK KOZIK
Frank Kozik (1962–2023) was a self-taught artist widely credited with reviving the modern concert poster. Rising out of the Austin and San Francisco music scenes in the 1980s and '90s, he screen-printed bold, irreverent posters for punk and rock acts including Nirvana, Soundgarden, the Melvins, and Pearl Jam — pairing saturated color and vintage imagery with a subversive sense of humor. He went on to become a defining figure in the designer-toy movement, creating the iconic Labbit and shaping the creative direction at Kidrobot. His instantly recognizable work remains among the most collected and influential in contemporary poster art.
