Sanford Greene

The Artist

Sanford Greene

Sanford Greene is an Eisner Award–winning comics artist whose work has appeared at Marvel, DC, Dark Horse and Image, including Power Man and Iron Fist and Black Panther. He co-created and draws Bitter Root, a dark fantasy series set in the Harlem Renaissance, and created the webcomic 1000.

"DOOM's legacy keeps growing because he was ahead of his time. His music is timeless to me and so many others, which is why so many different communities continue to champion his work. I wanted to express that legacy through body language. In this image, he's sitting like a king, absorbing his accolades and engulfed in adoration, looking back at the journey."

The Collaboration

MF DOOM × Sanford Greene is part of the Collectionzz Artist Series, presented by the MF DOOM Estate, Collectionzz and Rhymesayers Entertainment.
